5/6 Boyle
Strength, Stamina and Smiles!
This term, our Year 5/6 students have been pushing themselves to new limits in PE, focusing on building strength, endurance and teamwork.
Morning Fitness Challenges Each morning, students kickstart their day with high-energy fitness sessions designed to build stamina and boost mood. Two favourite challenges have quickly emerged — the Bring Sally Up squat challenge and the Roxanne sit-up challenge. These activities not only build physical strength but also foster resilience and camaraderie as students encourage one another to power through every beat. It’s been fantastic to see their determination and enthusiasm grow with each session!
We’ve also teamed up with our buddy class, 3/4 Strnatka, to learn some boxing fitness skills. Students are loving these sessions, showing great enthusiasm and effort as we punch, jab, kick and duck our way to better fitness. It’s been wonderful to see both classes working together and supporting each other.

Mass Lessons in Action In addition to fitness, our students are diving into practical maths lessons exploring the concept of mass. Through hands-on activities, they’re learning to measure, compare and calculate mass in everyday objects — bringing numeracy to life in an active, engaging way. The excitement is evident as students collaborate, problem-solve and apply their understanding in real-world contexts.
We’re incredibly proud of the effort, persistence and positive attitudes our Year 5/6 students are demonstrating. Stay tuned for more updates and pictures showcasing their fantastic progress!
Let’s keep moving and learning together!
