Inclusive Practices

At Zuccoli Primary School all students are seen as capable learners and innovative teaching and learning programs provide opportunities for each child to develop into lifelong learners and be independent, global citizens. All students with a disability are entitled to an education on the same basis as their peers and should participate equally, through reasonable adjustments and support from their teachers, school staff and the wider community.

The Gold Unit is designed to cater for Zuccoli’s unique demographic of students. Daily programs focus on several areas including intensive literacy and numeracy, exploring social skills and emotional regulation strategies. These programs include but not limited to transition to school intensive program, literacy and numeracy intensive interventions and several social skills programs such as Lego Therapy, Zones of Regulation and social skills small group programs.
